Privacy Policy
Protecting your personal data is important to us. Below we explain, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), which data we process when you visit this website, for what purpose and on what legal basis.

2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by EDIS GmbH, Hauptplatz 3, 8010 Graz, Österreich. The host processes personal data (in particular access data) on our behalf and acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR; a data processing agreement is in place.
Each time the website is accessed, information is automatically recorded in server log files transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, the page accessed, volume of data transferred, referrer URL, and browser and operating system identifiers. This data is used solely for the technical operation, security and stability of the website and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and trouble-free operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are generally deleted after 14 days unless needed longer to investigate a security incident.
3. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" in your browser's address bar.
4. Contact and inquiry form
When you contact us via the inquiry form or by email, we process the data you provide in order to handle your request. We collect: first and last name, email address, phone number, desired arrival and departure dates, number of guests (adults/children), preferred room type, where applicable the context of your inquiry (if you open the form from a specific page section), and your message.
Transmission is encrypted; your inquiry is delivered to our mailbox by email. No further disclosure to third parties takes place.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures or of a contract), as your inquiry is aimed at concluding an accommodation contract. If your inquiry does not lead to a booking, we delete the data once the correspondence has ended and no statutory retention obligations apply.
You may voluntarily provide additional details in the message field. If you disclose special categories of personal data in doing so (Art. 9 GDPR, e.g. health-related information such as allergies or food intolerances), we process it solely to handle your inquiry and to prepare your stay. The legal basis is your explicit consent (Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR), which you give by voluntarily providing the information and may withdraw at any time with effect for the future. The web agency entrusted with the technical delivery of the form does not store or analyse this information.
5. Reservation and online booking (Casablanca)
For direct bookings we embed the booking widget of CASABLANCA hotelsoftware GmbH (Öde 32, 6491 Schönwies, Austria). When the booking screen is loaded, the data required to check availability and make a booking is transmitted to Casablanca's servers (casablanca.at/datenschutz). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. For details please see their privacy policy.
6. Web analytics with Matomo
We use the open-source web analytics service Matomo to evaluate the use of our website statistically and to improve our offering. Matomo is not operated as a third-party cloud service; instead it is run on our behalf by our web agency (Web-Werk Ischgl GmbH) on a dedicated instance hosted with an EU-based provider (World4You Internet Services GmbH), available at https://analytics.web-werk.at/. The web agency and the host act as our processors (Art. 28 GDPR); no analytics data is passed on to third parties for their own purposes.
Matomo uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. In particular, pages visited, time spent, browser and operating system, approximate location (based on a truncated IP address) and the referrer are recorded. Your IP address is anonymised (truncated) before storage. The raw analytics data collected is deleted automatically, at the latest after 180 days.
As Matomo uses cookies, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent under § 165 (3) Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG 2021) in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Matomo is only loaded and set after you have actively consented via our cookie notice. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by reopening your cookie settings and adjusting your selection. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
7. Embedded maps (Paznaun-Ischgl)
On individual pages (e.g. "Getting here") we embed interactive maps of the Paznaun-Ischgl region (maps.paznaun-ischgl.com) as iframes. These maps are provided by General Solutions Steiner GmbH, Bruggfeldstraße 5/III, 6500 Landeck, Austria. They are NOT loaded automatically: as long as you do not actively consent, you only see a placeholder with a data protection notice. Only when you click "Load map" is the iframe embedded and your IP address transmitted to the map provider (General Solutions Steiner GmbH), which is technically necessary to deliver the map. The legal basis is your consent through active loading (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
Using the option "Always load maps" you can choose to have maps loaded directly in future.
This decision is stored exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage entry funtana_maps_consent) and is not transmitted to us. You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the
future by deleting your browser's local website data or this entry.
8. Links to external services
Our website contains links to external regional services (e.g. weather, webcams and ski-pass information on service.ischgl.com). When you click them you leave our website; the respective provider is solely responsible for data processing on the linked pages.
9. Cookies and consent management
We set technically necessary cookies required to operate the website on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). All non-essential cookies — in particular those of Matomo web analytics — are set only with your consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings.
10. Recipients and transfers to third countries
Your data is disclosed only to the processors named in this policy (in particular our host, the web agency responsible for web analytics together with its EU host, and, in the case of a booking, Casablanca) and where required by law (e.g. to registration authorities under the Austrian Registration Act). No transfer to third countries outside the EU/EEA is intended.
11. Retention
We process and store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. Booking and invoicing data is subject to the statutory retention periods under § 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code (BAO), generally 7 years. After these periods the data is deleted.
12. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent given at any time. An informal message to the contact details under point 1 is sufficient.
13. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you have the
right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

14. No automated decision-making
